AU Information
AU Name: Daenerys Stormborn; Targaryen was her human family's name, but she doesn't reference it often, as it is a reminder of a tragedy that she doesn't like to discuss freely.
AU Age: 39; she was turned at 19 and has been a vampire for 20 years.
Physical Differences: No major physical differences outside the changes related to her court affiliation.
AU History:
• Born to a wealthy human family who held some influence in the Blue Court's lands, at the age of thirteen Daenerys saw her parents and two older brothers torn to shreds by a gang of vampires in their night terror forms. Whether gone rogue or sent by her parents' enemies, Dany never knew; she was spared and enthralled by the feral-seeming vampires and kept as their servant for a time before she was traded away to an influential family of Gold Court vampires, the unofficial patriarch of the group having decided that she would make a good bride one day.
• She was kept as a favored thrall for the rest of her childhood, shown off at parties, allowed some measure of freedom to learn all that would one day be required of her.
• A fair number of years after Daenerys was made a vampire, her husband and Maker was found dead of a wound made by a dread blade. Though Dany's hands are technically clean, she was indirectly responsible for his murder -- there's simply no way to tie her to it, as she never allowed the slightest hint of displeasure at her situation to show, and never made a direct request of the vampire responsible. Her husband had more enemies than friends; she simply knew the right words to speak and the right buttons to push to influence what might've already happened. The perpetrators have long since been caught and punished, and so the matter is considered settled -- though Daenerys no longer associates with the rest of her Maker's family.
AU Personality:
• This version of Daenerys is much less entitled and not quite as hell-bent upon destruction of those who historically wronged her family, as there is no throne at stake. She has achieved the only vengeance that would have denied her her freedom and therefore is relatively content.
• Like her canon counterpart, she has little tolerance for the enslavement of others, and therefore despises the practice of enthrallment. She's good at it, though, and is known for showing thralls a great deal of compassion and freedom where she is given license to do so.
• Her time as a Gold Court thrall has instilled perfect courtly manners into her, and she knows how to play political games with some finesse, though her morals still sneak in too often for the tastes of some of the elder council members. She has slightly more wisdom on this front than her canon counterpart, who mostly learned of the Westerosi courts through a very narrow lens from an ocean away. She is less prone to snap judgments at this point than she was in canon, though as her memories return this will certainly shift.

Course Information
Court: Daenerys fits right in at Gold Court due to her keen understanding of the political machinations in play, but also because she feels a genuine responsibility for the novices that come to Castle Courtsheart as well as the those who fail and become thralls. She also wishes to use her influence for the betterment of human society, which she knows can be cruel and unjust all on its own.
Subjects of Interest: Though she resents it, Dany has a unique talent for enthrallment, and as she wishes to encourage responsible use of the skill, she will teach it if required, particularly if the alternative is a teacher she doesn't trust taking over the class. Otherwise, human politics and history are probably favored subjects, as she wishes her novices to understand those they would rule.
Maker/Blood Claim: Her Maker was a Gold Court vampire named Alaric, ~75 years old at his time of his death at the hands of a rogue vampire with a stolen dread blade, may he rip in peace. If anyone in Gold court would like some sort of connection to him I'm open to it.
